CRC Sogema takes part in the National Vocational Training for Teachers’ Days, in Mali

Longueuil, September 9, 2009. The National Vocational Training for Teachers’ days will take place on September 14th and 15th. It is in the context of the Training of Basic Education Teachers Implementation Project (PAMOFE) that the Fundamental Education Directorate of Mali has organized such an event to celebrate and promote teachers’ vocational training (FCM). Such training is considered to be a major priority in the development of education in Mali.

As the main funder, the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) wishes to mobilise and value the actors in the schooling of children. A proud partner of the event, CRC Sogema is happy to contribute to the improvement of education performance in Mali.

“A well trained teacher, an asset for the community!” will be the catch line of the event. Over 300 people involved in education will be present at the International conference centre of Bamako. Several educational, technical and financial partners are also invited as well as their counterparts from Burkina Faso, Togo, Mauritania and Canada.

The main theme will be the change in teachers’ pedagogical practices in classrooms, through the training of teachers and the services offered by central and decentralized structures in order to make this ongoing training accessible to all.
